What this tool does
PDF Splitter takes one PDF and breaks it apart — either by pulling out a specific set of pages into a new PDF, or by splitting every page into its own separate file. Everything happens locally in your browser — the file is never uploaded to a server.
How it works
- Choose PDF — pick the file you want to split. Its page count and size appear once loaded.
- Extract pages — type a page range like
1-3, 5, 8-10and download a single PDF containing just those pages, in the order listed. - Split into single pages — breaks every page into its own PDF file and bundles them all into a downloadable .zip.
- Reset — clears the current file to start over with another PDF.
Good to know
- Splitting is lossless: pages are copied as-is, not re-rendered, so content and quality are unchanged.
- Password-protected PDFs can't be split directly — remove the password first.
- Page numbers in "Extract pages" start at 1, matching how pages are numbered in a PDF viewer.
